Dr. Marquetta Masters is a passionate and accomplished educator, wife, and mother of three. With over 23 years of experience in education, she is dedicated to fostering academic excellence and innovative learning.

Professional Journey
Dr. Masters began her career at Dallas Independent School District in 1999 as a middle school Reading/Language Arts teacher at Atwell Law Academy, later becoming Department Chair. She transitioned to an Instructional Coach at Adelle Turner Elementary, supporting Reading, Math, and Science instruction for four years.
Her leadership journey continued as Assistant Principal at Richard Lagow, followed by her role as Principal of Frederick Douglass Elementary in 2013. Under her guidance:

Math and Science scores soared.

The school became the first Dallas ISD elementary campus to implement a computer science curriculum.

She spearheaded the transformation into the first Public School Choice Elementary STEM Academy in the southern sector of Dallas ISD.
Recognitions & Impact
Dr. Masters has been recognized for her innovative work in STEM education, with features on local news stations and a highlighted article and video by Microsoft’s Philanthropy division during Computer Science Week. She is a firm believer in preparing students for 21st-century learning and beyond.
